I visited the streets around the “dragon cave” area in Taipei City, and photographed foods from street vendors in a sleek commercial fashion. In exchange for the prints, the vendors provided foods in the ensuing gallery festival opening. This project generates a dialogue between public art and the community. By placing commercial photography with everyday subject matters in the context of art, it questions the real relationship between the local community and public art.
